Mission:
To instill the knowledge and desire that people prosper and are healthy in all aspects of their lives.
Purpose:
Prosper and Be in Health, Inc. (PBIH) – Will partner with Shabach International Ministries, World Health organizations and NGO’s to administrate the provision of healthcare services for Carrefour, Haiti and also provide primary medical care to the rural communities of the New Eden Project in Northwest Haiti.
Goals
Prosper and Be in Health will identify Haitian and foreign health care providers to partner with to provide the highest quality of healthcare services.
These services will be provided by attending physicians, resident physicians, medical students and nursing staff from Haiti as well as medical schools, universities and other facilities in the United States.
- Diseases that are identified as prevalent in the communities will be prioritized for medical services.
- Studies to objectively evaluate change and improvement in the health status of inhabitants of Carrefour, Haiti and the Northwest Haitian communities will be developed.
Haiti’s Problem:
- Poverty, malnutrition, illness and lack of health care
- Infectious diseases that include malaria, HIV, parasites
- Illiteracy
- Poor Economy
- Homelessness
Objectives:
- Define the extent of disease in Carrefour, Haiti and Northwest Haiti,
- Determine the level of health services that are needed,
- Provide medical care to address the prevalent diseases,
- Develop measurable evaluations of outcomes of medical services
- Develop sustainable long-term housing for new medical centers
