We are blessed to be able to serve the youth, their families, and communities in the Northwest region of Haiti. Since the 2010 earthquake, all of the students at the Anse Rouge Christian School (ARC) students have been attending classes in an unsafe school building. With no secondary school (7th – 13th grade) in the region, the majority of these students only attained a 6th-grade education. Several months ago PBIH was invited by the Living Waters Ministries, Inc. (LWM) to help implement a new ARC Secondary School Project. Through the faithful financial support of Food For The Poor, Inc., Phase I of the ARC Secondary School Project has been successfully completed.
We are 90% away from reaching our fundraising goal to start construction on the new ARC “Primary” School. Currently our students are meeting in an outdoor tent. Phase II of the ARC Primary School Project will also include Green Solar Energy Service, Broadband (TVWS) Service, and a new water cistern.
